by IT-Geeks

Stand-up paddle boarding might be a new trend, but it’s all the rage among people of all ages. It’s a fun, easy way to play in the water while getting a full body workout.

For our Summer Batch, we partnered with Tower Paddle Boards to bring the best stand-up paddle boards and accessories on the market to our outdoor and fitness loving customers.

With the Bay Area offering some of the most beautiful and secluded coastlines and wildlife to see, this location is truly a dream for paddle boarders. All you need is a paddle board, sunscreen and a swimsuit to get your adventure started. Don’t forget you can even to take your furry little friend paddle boarding with you!

Here are some of our favorite go-to places and activities for paddle boarding in the Bay Area.

Learn to Paddle Board at Richardson Bay

The calm water in Richardson Bay makes it an ideal place for beginners to learn how to stand-up paddle board. You can bring your own board, or rent one, and sign up for their weekend classes to learn everything you need to know about this new wave of surfing.

Become a Paddle Board Yogi in Sausalito

Take your sun salutation to the next level by going to a paddle boarding yoga class with SupAsana or OnnBoardSUP. You’ll get a full body and mind workout trying to balance on the board, nail your yoga poses and find your zen all at the same time.

Paddle Board to the Giants Game at McCovey Cove

If you’re both a paddle boarder and a baseball fan, then head paddle your way over to McCovey Cove at AT&T Park during a Giants Game. While you don’t have a view of the field, you will have a great time chatting and getting to know other boarders and boaters hanging around the cove on a sunny day.

Treat Yourself to Oysters After Paddle Boarding in Tomales Bay

Known for its oysters, Tomales Bay is the perfect location for an all day paddle boarding adventure. Spend the day paddle boarding all around Tomales Bay, and then get a dozen (or more!) oysters as a post-workout snack. During the summer you can even take a moonlit bioluminescence trip to see the light show put on by local marine plankton.
