DOG FRIENDLY SUMMER VACATIONS
Taking a summer vacation with your four-legged friend is a great idea. Not only will you get a chance to travel outdoors and try something new, but you get to do it with your adored pup.
Since you’re planning to travel with your dog, be sure to stock up on new outfits and accessories that match the aesthetic of your destination. At Batch, we outfit our pups with DOG & CO, a brand that designs contemporary canine collections with both form and function in mind. Because no matter what your dog’s style, there’s a little something at DOG & CO for every furry friend – from leather collars, fashionable bandanas, all weather jacket and even backpacks.
Once your canine companion is all geared up, it’s time to hit the road. To make your summer plans easy, we rounded up the most beautiful pet friendly vacations across Northern California that will have you and your dog chasing the sun.
A Relaxing Weekend in Carmel-by-the-Sea
This little town located by the sea was designed for dogs and their beloved owners. Carmel has one of the best leash-free dog beaches in all of Northern California. The beaches located between Point Lobos and Pebble Beach, have white sugar sand and are shaded by cypress trees make it look and feel like a dream.
A Hiking Adventure in Humboldt County
If your dog loves hikes and long walks, then go for a stroll in the Redwoods among some of the tallest trees in the world. Your dog can roam around off-leash in the redwoods, and enjoy six leash free dog beaches at the end of a 5-mile coastal trail. If you want a more casual, on-leash walk, then go to Sequoia Park in Eureka where you’ll be surrounded by 67 acres of redwoods, meadows, ponds and creeks.
A 7x7 Retreat in San Francisco
San Francisco is the perfect getaway for dogs and their owners. The city by the bay has everything – from dog-friendly hotels to deliciously sweet bakeries like Le Marcel that hand bake natural treats for your pooch. Aside from the inner city delights, San Francisco is also surrounded by beautiful parks, beaches and outdoor cafes that are all dog friendly. Some of our favorite go-to locations with our furry friend are Dolores Park, Crissy Field and Golden Gate Park, Ocean Beach and Baker Beach.
A Wine Tasting Getaway in St. Helena
Most wineries in St Helena are so canine friendly that your dog can join you inside the tasting rooms! Some of our favorite tasting rooms that welcome your furry little friend are Merryvale Vineyards, HALL Wines, and Alpha Omega Winery. So plan a trip up to this small town in Napa Valley and enjoy wine tasting and having a picnic on a hot summer day.
