Showroom and Ops Manager

Batch is looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about redefining the retail business model. We partner with emerging and established home and lifestyle brands that primarily operate online, acting as a hub for product discovery and brand engagement. Our converted firehouse showroom is expertly laid out like a home, rotating merchandise every eight weeks, to continuously provide new experiences and design inspiration. The Showroom Manager will be at the center of our business, acting as the liaison between each brand and the Batch community in our beautiful store. You’ll be the first face our partners and loyal customers interact with, so it’s your job to make the showroom shine!

  • Serve as our team’s sales lead, setting ambitious quarterly targets, and successfully hitting them each Batch with the support of your showroom team.

  • Represent Batch as the premiere destination for product discovery, assisting all customers and clients in a timely, personal and courteous manner.

  • Act as the primary ambassador for 20+ brands, effectively communicating each company’s mission and having expert knowledge of every product on the showroom floor.

  • Help define and refine the Batch customer experience, creating a consistent in-store service that is thoughtful and memorable.

  • Assist in developing a visual merchandise strategy for each collection, ensuring exceptional design standards and aligning with brand requests as needed.  

  • Manage the showroom team, delegating projects, tasks, and leading weekly showroom team meetings and updates.

  • Track and analyze weekly sales numbers, developing brand sales initiatives and sell-through strategies.

  • Monitor daily customer engagement and brand success metrics, conducting regular brand reports to be distributed on a monthly basis.

  • Schedule and track all product shipments in and out of the showroom, documenting all packing slips and inventory details on an ongoing basis.

  • Oversee all operations management, including supply replenishments, vendor relations, maintenance and contractor work as needed.

  • Create and oversee the showroom schedules, ensuring there is proper coverage every day of the week.

  • Monitor merchandise stock levels on an ongoing basis, implementing weekly inventory counts and replenishment requests.

  • Buildout a robust CRM list and create customer engagement comms plans.

  • Support relationships with individuals and brands that align with Batch’s mission, identifying key partner and / or sponsorship opportunities.

  • Act as a run of show lead for brand partner events, providing expert knowledge of the event space to any vendors while showing impeccable service.


  • 3 - 4 years of retail and sales experience, with a strong preference in interiors, lifestyle, or fashion.

  • You have 1 - 2 years of managing a team, demonstrating critical thinking, leadership and a high degree of empathy.

  • Expert storyteller. You have the ability to engage any audience, remaining concise, confident and thoughtful.

  • Flexible schedule. This role requires weekend showroom coverage as needed.

  • You have a pulse on current trends, and an eye for design and style.

  • Positive attitude. No task is too big or small, and everything is met with enthusiasm and tenacity.

  • Curious. You’re interested in finding efficient and effective solutions to difficult problems, and building process where there is none.

  • Proficiency with Excel, Keynote, Google Drive, and point-of-sale systems.

  • Startup experience a plus.
