NYE Party Planning

With 2018 just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about your New Year’s Eve plans!

Instead of going out to an overcrowded club or bar, this year, bring in 2018 with a festive soiree at home surrounded by your closest friends. Because it’s more fun being at a small party with all your close friends, versus going to a large event where you only know a few.

While planning another fête might not be on your to do list after the crazy holiday season, it will be easier than you think! Keep the mood light and comfortable this year with a no muss no fuss NYE party.

From catering light bites, to allowing your guests to be mixologists, and snapping the night away on a polaroid camera, we have simple, and foolproof ways to celebrate the new year in style.

Cheers!!

Serve Light Bites & Finger Food
Keep the night simple and pre-order light bites and finger food from a grocery store (like Whole Foods or Bi-Rite) or your favorite restaurant. That way you won’t be caught up in the kitchen and you can focus on having fun with your guests! Additionally, create a food station area where guests can serve themselves the hot and cold hors d’oeuvres throughout the night.

Stock up on Champagne
You definitely don’t want to run out of champagne, or flutes, so make sure you have enough for everyone attending. For champagne, one bottle will fill up approximately six flutes, so calculate the number of bottles you need and add on a few extra bottles just in case! Always have a few extra flutes handy as well – just in case one breaks, or for last minute guests attending.

Create a Self Serving Bar With Recipes
Set up a bar cart with all the drinks and mixers on it, so guests can fix themselves a cocktail or get a glass of champagne. You can even print out a few drink recipes that guests can try and make with the ingredients on the cart. That way, you don’t have to spend all evening being the bartender, and it’s a fun activity for guests to mix their own cocktails!

Get Festive With Balloons
Make your apartment look like a Studio 54 party by covering the ceiling with giant balloons! We love keeping the colors simple  – think silver, gold, white or black – so it makes your place look chic and festive.

Dim The Lights
If you don’t own party lights, no problem! Grab a few dozen votive candles, and dim the lights to set the mood! You can even use flameless candles, instead of votives, so they last the entire night.

Polaroid Party Favors
There’s nothing more fun than taking pictures with a polaroid camera! It’s not only a great way to make lasting memories, but it’s also a cute party favor for guests. So get a polaroid camera and film and let your guests get into the selfie spirit!
